LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard confirmed on Tuesday that he'll begin training with Liverpool FC's first team next week.
During his UEFA Champions League punditry for BT Sport, the 35-year-old stated that he'll begin training with Jurgen Klopp's group next week to prepare for the 2016 MLS regular season. The Galaxy midfielder has been the subject of considerable speculation about a possible loan deal back following the club's playoff exit in late-October despite repeated denials by Klopp and LA head coach Bruce Arena.
"I'm going to go in for a couple of weeks and work with Mr Klopp, so I'm really looking forward to that," Gerrard said. "To see what he's about and try and learn a few things off him."
But when asked if the training stint could become a loan, Gerrard simply responded, "No."
