Santos Laguna earned a 1-1 draw with Puebla at Estadio Corona on Saturday in their final match before their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal second leg with the LA Galaxy.

Puebla took the lead in the 13th minute when a Matias Alustiza penalty kick goal gave the visitors the lead after an Adrian Aldrete foul in the penalty area. Santos equalized in the second half when Ulises Davila gave the Guerreros their lone goal of the evening with a shot from just outside the penalty area. Santos is now 2-1-1 at the Estadio Corona during the 2016 Clausura campaign.

Santos head coach Luis Zubeldia started a predominantly first choice lineup against Puebla with six likely starters for the CCL quarterfinal going 90 minutes. The Guerreros will now turn their attention to the Galaxy, who they host on Tuesday in the decisive match of their CCL quarterfinal.
