CARSON, Calif. (Monday, July 25, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (9-2-8, 32 points) will play their third straight road game this weekend on Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 p.m. against Orange County Blues FC at Anteater Park in Irvine, Calif. It’s Los Dos’ third straight road game, their longest road game stretch of the season.
But LA Galaxy II have managed to make the most of the stretch; they’ve taken six points from the first two road games. Over the weekend, Los Dos earned three points on the road in San Antonio with a 3-2 defeat of San Antonio FC in front of 7,690 fans. First half goals from Jose and Jaime Villarreal and Jack McBean proved to be enough of a cushion for Los Dos to secure their fourth straight win.
McBean’s goal was his 15th of the season. He continues to lead the USL in that category. He leads an LA Galaxy II team that has scored 40 goals on the season. They are the highest scoring team in the USL and they are the only team in the league to average more than two goals per game.
Los Dos are now second in the USL Western Conference with one less win than Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The two teams are tied with 35 points.
