CARSON, Calif. – Gyasi Zardes is aiming to return to action ahead of a massive week for the LA Galaxy.
Zardes missed the Galaxy’s 2-2 draw with the New York Red Bulls on Sunday but was back in training a day later. The 24-year-old striker has not played in nsecutive matches with a chest muscle strain.
“I’m feeling great,” Zardes said. “It’s not my call, and I’m going to leave that in the hands of the medical staff and the coaches, but it feels great to be back out at training.”
The Galaxy face off against FC Dallas in the U.S. Open Cup semifinal on Wednesday and then host the Colorado Rapids three days later.
