CARSON, Calif. – LA Galaxy center back Jelle Van Damme was named to MLSsoccer.com’s Team of the Week on Monday.
Van Damme was dominant in the air as the LA Galaxy shut down the Portland Timbers attack en route to a 2-1 victory at Providence Park on Saturday.
Midfielder Nigel de Jong was also included on the squad’s bench.
