CARSON, Calif. – Giovani dos Santos will be missing out on a call-up to the Mexican National Team for the first time in nearly a year.
Dos Santos was not included in Juan Carlos Osorio’s squad for the nation’s World Cup qualifiers against Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica. The 27-year-old Mexican forward exited the Galaxy’s 1-0 defeat to the Portland Timbers with a right hamstring issue on Sunday.
On Thursday, Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo confirmed that Dos Santos is “likely out” for Saturday’s match against Real Salt Lake.
