In LA Galaxy II’s last road game of the 2016, they scored one of their best goals of the season.
One minute before the first half whistle, forward Jose Villarreal let a pass from Josh Turnley run through his legs and down the left side of Sacramento’s final third. Villarreal took one touch, putting the ball into the penalty area, before sliding a pass to forward Ethan Zubak. Zubak sprints in behind a defender and at the last second, spins to provide a backheel touch on the ball to beat the unsuspecting Sacramento ‘keeper.
Will we see more like this from Zubak in 2017?

LA Galaxy II is counting down the top moments of the 2016 season ahead of the team’s 2017 season opener, presented by Bare Republic. Los Dos will open the 2017 USL Regular Season against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
