LA Galaxy II are back on the road this weekend, with another long road trip to take on Rio Grande Valley FC. The match will kick off at 5:30 p.m. PT and be streamed live on LAGalaxy.com/2 from H-E-B Park in Edinburg, Texas.
LA Galaxy II followed the first team east last weekend, making their longest right trip of the while securing their second win of the season. Los Dos scored two second half goals to earn a comeback win against New York Red Bulls II, the 2016 USL Champions. A converted penalty from Adonis Amaya was followed by a first career goal from Justin Dhillon and first career assist from Galaxy Academy’s Jorge Hernandez.
LA Galaxy II Head Coach Mike Muñoz trotted out a lineup that averaged the young age of 19.7, the youngest lineup that’s come away with a win this season. Sunday’s three points mark the first road win of the season for Galaxy II, and it was their first victory since the team’s 2-0 season opening triumph on March 25.
