Osvaldo Alanís opened the scoring with a header off a Jonathan Dos Santos Corner to give Mexico the 1-0 lead at the break. Mexico upped their game in the second half, with Hirving Lozano providing an insurance goal and Raúl Jiménez sealing the match with a lovely chip in the 66th minute.

Dos Santos subbed off for Lozano in the 57th minute of the match.
