LA Galaxy’s busy July schedule continues | Weekly Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Monday, July 3, 2017) – The packed streak of games for LA Galaxy (6-7-4, 22 points) marches on this week, as they prepare to host Real Salt Lake in their annual Independence Day match (7:30 p.m. PT, Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes), followed by a U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal date on Monday, July 10 against San Jose at Avaya Stadium (7:30 p.m., streamed live on USSoccer.org).

MLS Regular Season: LA Galaxy vs. Real Salt Lake – Tuesday, July 4

For the 22^nd straight season, the LA Galaxy host an Independence Day match, this year taking on Real Salt Lake at StubHub Center. LA is 14-12-8 all-time against Salt Lake, with a 10-6-1 advantage at home.

The two sides met once already this year, with LA Galaxy issuing a 2-1 defeat to the visitors at Rio Tinto Stadium, behind goals from Dave Romney, Emmanuel Boateng and a two-assist performance from Romain Alessandrini on March 18.

Last time at StubHub Center, Emmanuel Boateng put two past Salt Lake as the Galaxy rolled 3-1 in the 2016 Knockout Round, with help from a one-goal, two-assist performance from Alan Gordon.

Tomorrow, per tradition, the Galaxy will host their traditional Fourth of July fireworks show. Tickets to the match are still available for purchase here.

2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open: San Jose Earthquakes vs. LA Galaxy – Monday, July 10

LA return to Northern California for a quarterfinal date with rival San Jose Earthquakes in the 2017 U.S. Open Cup. LA qualifies after earning wins over USL sides Sacramento Republic FC and Orange County SC in June.

San Jose makes the quarterfinal round after collecting wins over the San Francisco Deltas (NASL) and Seattle Sounders FC.
