Goaltender Eric Lopez
On his saves tonight:
“We all wanted to get the win especially because we got the points in Portland, everyone came out sharp it wasn’t just me, it was a team effort. I think everyone did their job in the first half and unforunaltey we couldn’t get it in the second half because we gave up two and couldn’t find that first one and couldn’t put the dagger in the chest ”
On defense in the second half:
“We tried to lock them down in the first fifteen minutes and I think we did hold them off for fifteen minutes, we had trouble in the end I guess we got tired and couldn’t hold the same how we did in the first half. It’s soccor it happens, 2-0 is a hard lead to keep.
On what Los Dos need to focus on moving forward:
“We didn’t get the result we wanted, we wanted a win but we just gotta keep looking forward we gotta keep being positive, we cant let these games get to us.”

On what happened defensively in the second half:
“ We kind of did the opposite of why we were susccesful in the first half, we dropped off a little bit too much we absorbed pressure a little bit too much. That wasn’t the intention we wanted to continue to be aggressive, especially in our midfield block. But for whatever reason we hesitated”
On Adrian Vera’s success:
“Adrian puts a 110% effort in to every single session and every single game, you know exactly what you’re going to get with him. His timing has been very good in terms of making his runs in to the box, and he’s been rewarded for it.”
On if the team will get time off during the break between games:
“It’s been a long first half of the season, we talked about starting the second half on the front foot so four points out of six points is exactly what we wanted. And so, we’ll let the the guys shut down for a little bit and get recharged and really make a push for the playoffs in the second half of the season.”
