LA Galaxy drop in latest MLS Power Rankings | INSIDER

Giovani dos Santos

CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy slid down the latest MLS Power Rankings after dropping their fifth consecutive loss in league play.

Los Angeles fell 4-3 to the New England Revolution last Saturday, twice battling back to equalize but failing to stop the Revs. The Galaxy return to action this weekend when they host Seattle Sounders FC at StubHub Center as they look to snap a six-game losing run across all competitions.

The complete Power Rankings are below:

ESPN FC: 12 (-2)

"The Galaxy are in the midst of a five-game losing streak and can't seem to find a way to win. Wasting three goals in New England doesn't help."

MLSsoccer.com: 19 (-4)

"The losing streak is now at five and every sector of the field seems to be suffering. It’s a club that could badly use a star turn from Giovani dos Santos as well as some reinforcements during the transfer window. But the schedule offers no respite with a brutal three-game stretch vs. Seattle, Portland and NYCFC."

SI.com: 21 (-10)

"Just when it seemed like the Galaxy may be starting to figure things out, it’s all falling apart. The Galaxy have lost five straight games, including a loss to San Jose in the California Clasico, a 6–2 loss to lowly Real Salt Lake, plus a home loss to Vancouver. The Galaxy have played 10 home games so far in 2017, and have only won one of them. And that came back in April.
