OKLAHOMA CITY (Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017) – LA Galaxy II (7-18-5, 26 points) fell 3-0 to OKC Energy FC (12-11-7, 43 points) on Sunday afternoon in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Energy FC forward José Angulo recorded a hat-trick in the match, starting things off with a penalty kick late in the first half that gave his side the 1-0 lead at halftime.

Angulo’s second half was worse news for the Galaxy, as he found wide-open space in the middle of the penalty box for goals in back-to-back minutes (67’ and 68’) to earn his hat-trick. The Galaxy were shutout for the third straight match.

Five current LA Galaxy Academy members participated in the match: Jake Arteaga, Leonardo Sepulveda, Alex Mendez, Jorge Hernandez and Jonathan Estrada. The starting lineup averaged an age of 19.27, one of the youngest of the season for Los Dos.

Next, LA Galaxy II return to Los Angeles to host Fan Appreciation Night and Portland Timbers 2 in their home finale at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.
