CARSON, Calif. – Ashley Cole has unfinished business with the LA Galaxy.

The veteran left back inked a new deal this offseason to return to the side for a third season. Cole was one of the team’s bright spots a year ago, making 29 appearances for Sigi Schmid’s squad.

The 37-year-old defender returns to a team that underwent a major rebuild ahead of the 2018 campaign. Following a difficult season a year ago, Cole is ready to take the Galaxy back to glory.

“I think I owe the Galaxy. Who wouldn’t love to play here where we have great players and I have great friends. I want to keep going and, of course, this isn’t a bad city to live,” Cole said. “It’s a new team, a new season, and hopefully we’ll be able to put Galaxy where they should be.”
