LA Galaxy make a visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

The LA Galaxy took time this week to visit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in continuation of their longstanding relationship with CHLA as nine players visited with patients and their families Thursday afternoon in support of Make March Matter.


Ashley Cole, Giovani dos Santos, Sebastian Lletget, Rolf Feltscher, Emmanuel Boateng, Jorgen Skjelvik, Daniel Steres, Chris Pontius, Brian Sylvestre and Tomas Hilliard-Arse all spent their afternoon at CHLA, along with LA Galaxy Mascot, visiting outpatients and their families in their rooms.

Players helped pass out coffee to various CHLA staff members and patients, distributed games to children in their rooms and toured the CHLA’s Sports Motion Lab during their time at the hospital. Daniel Steres, Jorgen Skjelvik and Emmanuel Boateng all played Jenga with a young patient in his room. Ema Boateng lost.

The LA Galaxy Foundation donates $100,000 annually to CHLA’s Sports Medicine Program in the Orthopaedic Center (COC). Additionally, as part of the LA Galaxy’s partnership with CHLA, LA Galaxy President Chris Klein serves as a member of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center Council while the team, staff, and academy continues to make regular trips to the hospital to visit patients as part of their longstanding relationship.


The LA Galaxy have a bye week in MLS play this weekend before returning to action next Saturday, March 24 for a road contest against Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
