BRIDGEVIEW, Ill— Zlatan Ibrahimović could play his longest shift for the LA Galaxy this Saturday.
The marquee Swedish striker has made a pair of late match cameos for the Galaxy since joining the team two weeks ago. Ahead of the Galaxy’s match with Chicago Fire on Saturday, Ibrahimović hinted that he could play a more significant role in his team’s next contest.

According to head coach Sigi Schmid, the team is still deciding if they’ll use Ibrahimović in a starting role.
“We’ll see. We wanted [Zlatan] to get through training,” Schmid told reporters following training in Chicago. “He went through a good workout yesterday, and we’ll see how he is after training, and we’ll make a decision tomorrow.”
