StubHub Center Moments: LA Galaxy win three MLS Cup titles in four years

CARSON, Calif. – StubHub Center is the home of the LA Galaxy and it’s only fitting that the team’s three most recent titles were won at the venue.

The Galaxy lifted the 2011, 2012, and 2014 MLS Cups at the Southern California soccer-specific stadium with wins over the Houston Dynamo (2011, 2012) and the New England Revolution (2014). The titles helped signal the Galaxy’s dominance in Major League Soccer and saw the team become the first team to win five MLS Cups (#FirstToFive).

The 2011 title saw Landon Donovan score the lone goal to give the Galaxy their third championship after the signing of Robbie Keane midseason sparked the team to glory. A year later, Galaxy legend David Beckham ended his time with the team on top as Keane, Donovan, and Omar Gonzalez led the Galaxy over Houston for their second straight title.

In 2014, the Galaxy returned to the summit with a dramatic 2-1 extra time win over the Revolution that was capped by Keane’s remarkable finish to give Los Angeles their fifth title.
