During the match, the club will host hundreds of local firefighters in a special section at Dignity Health Sports Park and celebrate their work throughout the evening. As part of the festivities, the LA Galaxy Hero of the Match, Anthem Singer and Color Guard will all feature local firefighters.

As part of the match, the LA Galaxy will also honor United Way of Greater Los Angeles for their critical role in fighting the California fires last year. The club will present a check to United Way and honor several firefighters that worked directly on the Malibu Fire Relief Efforts.

Last year, the LA Galaxy partnered with United Way of Greater Los Angeles to support donations for the Southern California Disaster Relief Fund. The LA Galaxy also participated in a KCBS and KCAL telethon last year, with LA Galaxy defender Daniel Steres and various LA Galaxy staff attending to raise funds, which helped raise over $1M in relief donations for fire victims. The Galaxy also visited various LA County Fire and Sheriff stations to deliver food and refreshments to law enforcement and fire first responders, visiting Gardena, Compton and multiple Carson stations in support of relief efforts.
