Lineup Notes


  • Guillermo Barros Schelotto will make just one adjustment to the starting lineup from last weekend’s 2-0 win vs. Philadelphia, as Julian Araujo makes his debut start in place of the injured Rolf Feltscher.
  • Goalkeeper David Bingham returns in net – he’s started every MLS match for the Galaxy since his signing in January 2018.Bingham is coming off of a shutout last weekend against the Union, his second straight. He currently boasts a 1.2 GAA this season.
  • At right back, Julian Araujo makes his first-ever MLS start along the backline, filling in for the injured Rolf Feltscher (groin). The talented US Youth International signed with the team ahead of the start of the season after featuring in the LA Galaxy Academy.
  • In the center is Daniel Steres, who has made 78 appearances during his time with the club since being signed after standout seasons with LA Galaxy II. The guy is still the team’s second-leading scorer this year.
  • Alongside Steres is the Uruguayan and horse-riding Diego Polenta, who makes his sixth start of the season. Polenta was added this offseason and has been solid.
  • Out wide is Jorgen Skjelvik, who is on the left flank for his seventh-straight match this year. Left back is Skjelvik’s natural position, although he played the entirety of last year in central defense.
  • In the center of the midfield is Mexican international Jonathan dos Santos, who has continued to show that he is one of the most talented central midfielders in MLS with his standout play this season.
  • Making his sixth-straight start of 2019 is midfielder Sebastian Lletget, who will make the 70th start of his MLS career. In all, he has 12 goals and 12 assists.
  • Completing the midfield mix is Joe Corona, the 28-year-old U.S. Men’s National team veteran who was signed to the Galaxy through the use of Target Allocation Money on March 6. Corona makes his sixth start in MLS this season.
  • On the left will be the young and the speedy Mexican international Uriel Antuna. The Manchester City loan has started in each of the Galaxy’s six previous games this year.
  • On the right, the Frenchman Romain Alessandrini gets his third-straight start since returning him injury. Since his signing ahead of the 2017 season, Alessandrini has tallied an impressive 24 goals and 22 assists in 56 starts.
  • Up top is Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who specializes in soccer.

  • The LA Galaxy are a perfect 4-0-0 this season at Dignity Health Sports Park this season.
  • The Galaxy are 10-11-7 all-time vs. the Houston Dynamo, including 5-4-4 against Houston at home.
  • At home, LA have scored nine goals in four contests, while allowing four goals.
  • The Galaxy are 4-0-0 this season when scoring the game’s opening goal, and 1-1-0 when conceding first.
  • When leading at halftime, LA are 2-0-0. They are 3-1-0 when tied at halftime.
