Hero of the Game

The LA Galaxy are committed to honoring police, fire, and military personnel and their families through its Hero of the Game program presented by Northrop Grumman. The Galaxy will host one honoree and their family at each home game to express the organizations gratitude for the sacrifice and service provided by these individuals. The Hero of the Game will receive (4) Sideline tickets to the game along with dinner for (4) in the American Express Stadium Club. They will also be honored prior to the national anthem and once again at half time.

Tauhid McNish

On April 12th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Tauhid McNish as their Hero of the Game.  Tauhid is currently stationed out of Los Alamitos with the 3/363rd Training Support Battalion. Tauhid is also an active volunteer for New Directions for Veterans and is always willing to help a vet in need.

Nate Howard

On May 21st the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Air Force Captain/Electrical Engineer Nate Howard as their Hero of the Game.  Nate is a nine year active duty member and is currently stationed at L.A. Air Force base.

Andres Otero

On May 25th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Navy Lieutenant Andres Otero as their Hero of the Game.  Andres is currently stationed at Navy Base Port Hueneme as a Self-Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Test and Evaluation Officer.

Carlos Pena

On June 8th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsmen Second Class Petty Officer Carlos Pena as their Hero of the Game. Carlos is a ten year active duty member and has completed three tours overseas. Carlos is currently stationed at 29 Palms, California with the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marines.

Terrance Chase

On July 4th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Navy Aviation Second Class Petty Officer Terrance Chase as their Hero of the Game. Terrance is a Los Angeles Native and is currently stationed on the USS Carl Vinson out of San Diego.

Devin McFarland

On July 12th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Devin McFarland as their Hero of the Game. Devin is a twelve year veteran and served a thirteen month tour in Iraq. Devin is currently stationed at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin

Bryan Eguez 

On July 16th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Marine Sergeant Bryan Eguez as their Hero of the Game.  Bryan is active duty and currently stationed at The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, CA

Daniel Rodriguez

On August 2nd the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Daniel Rodriguez as their Hero of the Game.  Daniel is a native of Southern California and has been active in the Army for eight years and has completed two deployments to Iraq totaling twenty-seven months.

John Delacerda

On August 8th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Army Staff Sergeant John Delacerda as their Hero of the Game. John is a native of Texas and has been active in the Army for seven years including a year of deployment in Iraq. John is currently working at Norwalk Recruiting Center. 

William Partrea 

On August 23rd the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Army Sergeant First Class William Partrea as their Hero of the Game. William is a Global War on terror veteran who has completed a 13 month tour in Baghdad Iraq.

Hometown Heroes 

September 27th was Hometown Heroes night at StubHub Center as the LA Galaxy took on D.C. United. Among the honored were the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, and the American Red Cross. 

Mark Gallagher

On September 5th the LA Galaxy honored U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Mark Gallagher as their Hero of the Game. Mark has served for over twenty-five years including fourteen deployments to the Middle East and Pacific. Mark currently serves at Tactical Training Group Pacific in San Diego.
