LA Galaxy to host Read Across America Day at Dignity Health Sports Park on Tuesday, March 3

The LA Galaxy, alongside XFL’s Los Angeles Wildcats, Los Angeles Kings, Herbalife Nutrition and Dignity Health Sports Park’s ASCSC Community Foundation, will host the fourth annual Read Across America Celebration at Dignity Health Sports Park on Tuesday, March 3 from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. PT, as players and staff read to over 300 second and third graders from Towne Ave. Elementary School, Leapwood Ave. Elementary School and Broadacres Elementary School to celebrate Read Across America Day.


Among those scheduled to read to numerous classes from the local Carson elementary schools include: LA Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham, defender Daniel Steres, midfielder Sacha Kljestan, midfielder Perry Kitchen, and goalkeeper Eric Lopez, Cozmo and the Galaxy Star Squad, in addition to Wildcats linebacker Willie Mays and Quarterback Chad Kanoff and LA Kings Radio Analyst Daryl Evans, Bailey and the LA Kings Ice Crew and Herbalife Nutrition executives.


All participants will participate in a soccer clinic, be provided lunch by Levy Restaurants and take home their own books. Players and staff members will read careers in sports books and craft with all the second and third grade students in attendance.


The five-time MLS Cup champion LA Galaxy’s 2020 home opener is set for Saturday, March 7 at Dignity Health Sports Park against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7 p.m. PT.
