The LA Galaxy’s 20 for Twenty continued Tuesday afternoon when the club visited Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Long Beach to help the organization prepare for SPCA Adoption Day. LA Galaxy II players Daniel Steres, Lee Nishanian and Travis Bowen all were in attendance along with LA Galaxy staff.
The Galaxy received a tour of the SPCA facilities and assisted with meal preparation and cleaning before spending time interacting with the animals at SPCA facilities.
20 for Twenty is a year-long initiative that will see the implementation of 20 unique community service acts to celebrate the Galaxy’s 20th season in Major League Soccer. The Galaxy Foundation has previously hosted a Build Day with Habitat of Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, participated in Read Across America, worked with Heal the Bay to help clean Redondo Beach, participated in the March of Dimes, March for Babies and hosted a Women’s Soccer Seminar, among other initiatives.
