Career Summary

The LA Galaxy acquired 24-year-old forward Jack McInerney on April 18, 2017. McInerney has scored 43 goals in Major League Soccer while playing for the Philadelphia Union, Montreal Impact, Columbus Crew and Portland Timbers throughout his career.

McInerney was drafted in 2010 by the Philadelphia Union with the seventh overall selection in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, and remained with the club until 2014, where he scored 25 goals, including a career-high 12 goals in 2013. Throughout his time in MLS, the forward has made 167 appearances, scored 43 goals and tallied six assists. By the age of 23, McInerney had scored 36 goals in MLS, the second-most in MLS history before turning 24 years old.

He was traded to the Montreal Impact in 2014 in exchange for Andrew Wenger. He remained with Montreal for over a year, helping the Eastern Conference side capture the 2014 Canadian Championship in addition to advancing to the 2014 CONCACAF Champions League Final. In August of 2015, McInerney was traded to Columbus Crew SC, where made five appearances before joining the Portland Timbers the following season.

Internationally, McInerney has been called up to the USMNT and previously earned caps for the U.S. Under-23, U-20 and U-17 sides, including 11 goals in 15 matches played with the U-17s. He was named to the United States' 23-man roster with the senior squad for the Group Stage of the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where he was a teammate of Crew SC Captain and defender Michael Parkhurst.
