The LA Galaxy Under-16's ended the Generation adidas Cup with a 1-0 defeat to the New York Red Bulls in the Premier Division's Semifinal round.
New York controlled the match from the start and were boosted when Galaxy U-16's went down to 10 men after Kyle Holcomb was sent off. The Red Bulls sealed the deal in the 49th minute when Brian Saramago beat a Galaxy defender in the penalty area and then fired a shot from close range that beat goalkeeper Eric Lopez for the game-winner.
Despite the loss, LA end the tournament with a 3-1-0 record after picking up wins against Tigres UNAL, Chicago Fire and Orlando City SC.
