CARSON, Calif. -- In an announcement that shocked absolutely no one, LA Galaxy goalkeeper Jaime Penedo was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week after his stellar performance against Seattle Sounders FC.
Penedo made an MLS career-high 10 saves as he led the Galaxy to a 1-0 victory over the Sounders, helping the Galaxy to their second win of the season. The Panamanian goalkeeper was joined by defender Omar Gonzalez who was named to the Week 6 squad's bench. The nod was the first time this season that a Galaxy player has been named to the league website's Team of the Week.
