CARSON, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy are unbeaten in their last four matches without the injured Robbie Keane but despite the unbeaten run, LA's offense has been lacking without the reigning Major League Soccer Most Valuable Player in the lineup.
Since Keane went down with a groin strain in LA's defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps FC back on April 4, the Galaxy have racked up a 2-0-2 record but have only once scored more than two goals. In Saturday's 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids, the Galaxy attack appeared listless as the visitors high pressure prevented LA's midfield from connecting with strikers Bradford Jamieson IV and Gyasi Zardes. In the end, it was Alan Gordon once again playing the saivour as he notched a goal in the 75th minute to help LA earn the result.
Although the Galaxy were able to get a point against the Rapids, the question must be asked, do they miss Robbie Keane? After the match, Zardes provided an answer.
"Robbie is a phoenomonal player and, yes, he's gone but at the same time, we're professionals. As he's gone we're training with the guys we have. ... Which ever 11 that we have on the field, we're prepared to play."
