Wednesday’s Galaxy II home match will feature $2 tacos from Chancho’s Tacos, $2 beer and free entrance for fans ages 12 and under with select LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members having season tickets to Galaxy II home matches. Due to the Women’s National Team Match at StubHub Center beginning at 6 p.m. PT, no free parking will be available for the match.
Los Dos seek to win their fifth-consecutive match Sunday when they take on their Northern California rivals. Galaxy II defeated Tulsa Roughnecks FC Wednesday night at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium behind goals from Ariel Lassiter and Jack McBean. Lassiter scored his team-high fourth goal of the season while midfielder Raul Mendiola notched another assist as he continues to lead USL with seven overall on the year. His has recorded an assist in each of the club’s last seven matches.
The Galaxy have fallen to Sacramento twice so far this season as Republic FC earned a 3-2 victory on a last second goal March 28 at StubHub Center before scoring three goals in the first half April 11 at Bonney Field en route to a 3-1 victory. Sunday’s match at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium marks the third of four total times that the clubs will square off in the regular season.
Under head coach Preki, Sacramento Republic FC, the reigning USL champions, have started the season off 5-4-0 for 15 points in nine matches. They are led by forward Rodrigo Lopez, who has scored six goals on the season, tied for the most in USL this year.
