24 Under 24: Sebastian Lletget's teammates give their take on the LA Galaxy's rising star

CARSON, Calif. – The skills of Sebastian Lletget have lit up Major League Soccer since the 23-year-old arrived earlier at StubHub Center earlier this year.

Since joining the LA Galaxy in May, Lletget has notched seven goals and two assists in 16 games. The attacking midfielder’s sterling play earned him the No. 3 ranking in MLSsoccer.com’s annual 24 Under 24 list.

Off the field, Lletget is also one of the most recognizable players in MLS on social media thanks to his amazing Instagram page, which is full of selfies that document his daily life.

To honor Lletget’s recent selection to MLSsoccer.com’s 24 Under 24, we played a little word association with players on the Galaxy: Just what pops into their mind when they think of Sebastian Lletget—both on and off the field?

Donovan Ricketts: "The selfie man."

Ignacio Maganto: "selfies."

A.J. DeLaGarza: “On the field, he’s been pretty good for us. He’s been a player who can create so much with his dribbling and his passing. He opens up things so well for other people because the defenders have to play him straight up. We know how good he is technically. How crafty he is. He’s a really good addition to the team. Off the field, well, boy … they love the boy.  He’s a good guy. He’s a very humble guy who likes to take selfies, but I guess that I would too if I had a body like that. He’s a very humble kid who just likes to take selfies.”

Leonardo: "I don't know, my friend... he's good."

Dan Gargan: "The best manicured 23-year-old beard that I've seen in a long time."

Edson Buddle: "Cool guy."

Jose Villarreal: "When I think of Sebastian Lletget, all I think of is Johnny Bravo."

Dave Romney: "One of the nicest guys I've met throughout my entire soccer career"

Alan Gordon: "A boy that lives two lives. The soccer life and the Instagram life."

Juninho: "He's great with social media just look at his Instagram. He's also a very good midfielder who likes to take people on."

Gyasi Zardes: "I only have good thoughts about Sebastian. He's quickly become one of the best midfielders in the league and only getting better."

Robbie Rogers: “On the field, he’s really impressed me because he’s a really talented guy. He has a lot of confidence and causes problems for the other team. I think a lot of people were worried when Landon left but he’s done a great job to fill that role. He’s very different than Landon but he’s a great player. Off the field, he’s a character and he fits in perfectly with the guys. He’s done perfectly and I enjoy having him on our team.”
