LA Galaxy II will travel to face OKC Energy FC in USL Western Conference Final on Sunday

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Oct. 5, 2015) – LA Galaxy II will face OKC Energy FC this Sunday, Oct. 11 at Taft Stadium in the USL Western Conference Final. The match, which will be streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com, will kick off at 4 p.m. PT.
Los Dos advanced to the Western Conference final after earning a 2-0 win over Orange County Blues FC this Saturday, Oct. 3 behind two goals from forward Ariel Lassiter and a shutout performance from Clement Diop, who has earned two shutouts in as many matches during the USL Playoffs.
LA Galaxy II are now 2-0-0 during their 2015 USL Playoff run. Los Dos have now three-straight matches including their final regular season contest, earning victories over OC Blues FC, Sacramento Republic FC and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in their last three outings.
OKC Energy FC are led by head coach and former MLS veteran Jimmy Nielson, who managed his squad to a second-place finish in the USL Western Conference with 47 points from a 13-7-8 record. They defeated Colorado Springs Switcbacks FC, 3-2 Sunday evening at Taft Stadium to advance to the conference final.
Sunday’s contest will mark the third time LA Galaxy II will face OKC Energy FC this year, with LA going 0-1-1 against their Western Conference counterparts this year. Los Dos earned a 1-1 draw at home on July 5 before falling 2-0 at Taft Stadium on Aug. 4.
LA Galaxy II finished the USL Regular Season in fifth place in Western Conference standings with a 14-11-3 record to qualify for the USL Playoffs for the second-straight year. They are led in goals by forward Ariel Lassiter, who has scored 13 times between the USL Regular Season and USL Playoffs. LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola has added 10 total assists for Los Dos on the year, with Jack McBean contributing six goals and six assists in all competitions.
