LA Galaxy Academy goalkeeper Abraham Romero made two saves as Mexico earned a 2-1 victory over Germany at the 2015 U-17 FIFA World Cup.

Mexico got on the scoreboard first when Pablo Lopez fired a shot from nearly 20 yards out that deflected off a German defender and into the net. El Tri added a second in the 65th minute when Francisco Venegas smashed a corner past the German goalkeeper for the goal. The Germans responded, however, with a goal just three minutes later as Johannes Eggestein scored and snapped Mexico's 247-minute shutout streak.

The Mexico U-17's return to action on Wednesday when they place either the third-place team from Group A or from Group F in the Round of 16.
