Republic of Ireland earns 1-1 draw with Bosnia and Herzegovina in Euro 2016 playoff first leg | INSIDER

Robbie Brady

Robbie Keane did not take the field, but the Republic of Ireland earned a 1-1 draw in their Euro 2016 qualification playoff first-leg against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday.

Robbie Brady scored the lone goal of the evening for the Irish, who took the lead in the 82nd minute despite incredibly foggy conditions that obscured the field of play from television cameras. The Bosnians found their equalizer just moments later when Edin Džeko's goal pulled the two sides level.

The Irish will look to book their ticket to Euro 2016 on Monday when they host Bosnia-Herzegovina in Dublin. A victory or a scoreless draw will see the Irish qualify for their second straight European Championship tournament.
