CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Feb. 8, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will continue their preseason campaign this week when the club hosts Club Tijuana at StubHub Center on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. PT before traveling for a matchup at Cashman Field in Las Vegas on Saturday, Feb. 13, against the San Jose Earthquakes (7 p.m. PT).

Former LA Galaxy midfielder, Juninho, is set to make his first return to StubHub Center since joining Club Tijuana, which acquired the Brazilian in December. Club Tijuana, commonly referred to as Xolos, were founded in 2007 and play in Estadio Caliente in Tijuana, Baja California. The 2012 Apertura winners were promoted to Mexico’s top flight division, Liga MX, in 2011.
The matches this week will be the final two friendlies to prepare the Galaxy ahead of their matchup against Santos Laguna in the quarterfinals of the 2015/16 edition of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, the region’s premier competition for clubs. The Galaxy host Santos on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at StubHub Center beginning at 7 p.m. PT in the first leg of the series. In the second leg of the quarterfinals, the Galaxy will travel to Estadio Corona in Torreon, Mexico to face Laguna on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. PT. Last week, new signings Ashley Cole and Jelle Van Damme joined the team for training and will be available for selection in both exhibitions this week. Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong is scheduled to join the club later this week.
The LA Galaxy will kick off the 2016 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Sunday, March 6, against D.C. United (7 p.m. PT, UniMás).
