Santos Laguna lose second straight, fall 2-1 to Monterrey | INSIDER

Santos Laguna dropped their second straight loss on Friday, falling 2-1 to C.F. Monterrey at the Estadio Corona in Torreon.


Dorlan Pabon and Edwin Cardona scored for Monterrey who moved to the top of the Liga MX standings with their win. Djaniny Tavares scored the lone goal for Santos in the second half, as they tried to find an equalizer. 


Santos will look to return to winning ways next Sunday when they travel to Mexico City to face Pumas UNAM. The match is the final game for Santos before their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal series against the LA Galaxy. Los Angeles host Santos on Feb. 24 at StubHub Center.
