LA Galaxy to host Seattle Sounders FC in closed-door scrimmage | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Feb. 15, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will continue their preseason campaign this week in preparation for the team’s next match, the first-leg of a quarterfinal series in the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League at StubHub Center against Santos Laguna on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m. PT.


The Galaxy will take on Seattle Sounders FC this Wednesday, Feb. 17, at StubHub Center in a scrimmage closed to the public. The scrimmage, which begins at 7 p.m. PT, will be streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com


Tickets for the first-leg against Santos Laguna at StubHub Center can be purchased now at www.lagalaxy.com/tickets/singlegame or by calling 877-3GALAXY (342-5299). In the second leg of the quarterfinals, the Galaxy will travel to Estadio Corona in Torreon, Mexico to face Laguna on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. PT for a chance to advance to the semifinals of the Champions League, the region’s premier tournament for clubs.


The LA Galaxy will introduce new signing Nigel de Jong at StubHub Center this Tuesday, Feb. 16, at StubHub Center at 12:30 p.m. PT, following the team’s training session. Media can park in Lot 17 at StubHub Center. The Galaxy will hold general media availability for other LA players field side following the team’s training session on Tuesday, Feb. 16, which begins at 10 a.m. PT on StubHub Center’s University Field 1, directly adjacent to Lot 17. Media can access the press conference by entering through the rolling gates on the southwest corner of StubHub Center following the training session.


The Galaxy played in two exhibition matches last week, earning a draw against Club Tijuana at StubHub Center Tuesday evening before defeating the San Jose Earthquakes at Cashman Field in Las Vegas on Saturday behind a first-half goal from forward Gyasi Zardes.


The LA Galaxy will kick off the 2016 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Sunday, March 6, against D.C. United (7 p.m. PT, UniMás).
