U.S. Soccer unveils new logo | INSIDER

U.S. Soccer has a new look.

The United States Soccer Federation revealed their new rebrand on Monday by sending a total of around 10,000 packages to supporters, players, and members of the media.

The process to open the packages was part of the kitsch as USSF utilized Google cardboard virtual reality glasses to reveal the  U.S. Soccer promotional video and a scarf emblazoned with the new crest inside.

“This is an area that I think is still in a really unique phase,” said Jay Berhalter, U.S. Soccer’s chief commercial officer to the New York Times. “We’re not really sure what it will end up being. But when we looked at it to launch the new crest, we thought it would be a really good fit for this type of dynamic.”

The crest itself is a rather simple design, with the letters "USA"  in blue arranged above red-and-white stripes.  U.S. Soccer's previous logo featured a soccer ball over the initials U.S. and red-and-white stripes.
