After cruising to a 6-0 preseason exhibition win over UC Riverside on Wednesday at StubHub Center, LA Galaxy II are set for weekend preseason fixtures ahead of its 2016 USL Regular Season kickoff in two weeks. This Saturday and Sunday, Los Dos will take on Cal State University Northridge and Albion SC Pros, respectively.
The win against UC Riverside marked the team’s sixth preseason game. Los Dos have a 5-0-1 record in this span – the only tie coming in a 3-3 draw with UCLA on March 5. In six games, LA Galaxy II is averaging 3.67 goals per game and has yet to score less than three goals in a match. Forward Jack McBean leads the team in goals with seven while Adonis Amaya and LA Galaxy Academy product Ethan Zubak have three goals each.
After this weekend, Los Dos will have just one scrimmage left before its season opener on March 26. Galaxy II will face the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, fellow USL Western Conference member, next Saturday.
