Bruce Arena speaks after the LA Galaxy's 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes | INSIDER

CARSON, Calif. -- LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena spoke to reporters following the club's 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes.

(On the red card...)

Obviously, in possession, we had to do a better job with our spacing and with our passing certainly. When they had the ball, we really had to get after them and press. Certainly, the two early goals in the second half was the difference in the game, and the red card at the end of  the first half."

(On Baggio...)

"He did a solid job. It's never easy at the beginning of games for a reserve to come on that quickly. I thought he adjusted quickly and did a solid job."
(On Van Damme...)
"He had a good game. Amarikwa is a tough player to play against, and they had a good battle on the night. I think, for the most part, he did pretty well."
(On the team's injury situation and the team's depth....)
"It's important. Obviously, I'm concerned about it, but I'm also looking forward to some other guys getting on the field and helping us. Over the next couple of weeks, certainly the travel for the international players will be difficult. Likely, when we go to Vancouver, we're going to have a number of changes in the lineup. That's good to see where we're at with some of those players."
