Away goals will count in extra time of the United States U-23's Olympic qualification playoff series with Colombia; U.S. Soccer confirmed earlier this week

If the series is level following regulation in the second leg, the playoff will move to extra time, where both teams will face off in two 15-minute periods. Should extra time end without a goal, the series will be decided by a penalty kick shootout.  In the instance, both nations score the same number of goals in extra time, Colombia will advance to the 2016 Olympic Games via the away goals tiebreaker.

The U.S. U-23’s will take on Colombia in the first leg in Barranquilla, Colombia on Friday, before returning stateside for the second leg at Toyota Stadium on March 29.
