Eight former LA Galaxy players and one former head coach have been nominated to ballots for inclusion in the National Soccer Hall of Fame, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced on Monday

Former LA Galaxy players Chris Armas, Gregg Berhalter, Frankie Hejduk, Eddie Lewis, Chris Klein, Clint Mathis, and Ante Razov were announced as nominees for the 2016 National Soccer Hall of Fame ballot.  Also nominated is Southern California native Jimmy Conrad.  The players that appear on 66.7 percent ballots will earn election while any nominee that receives less than five percent will be removed from the ballot until they qualify for the veteran quality.

Former LA Galaxy central defender Robin Fraser has been nominated to the Hall of Fame's Veteran ballot. The veteran ballot, which includes FC Dallas head coach Oscar Pareja, is for players who have been retired for more than 10 years and have either played in 20 international games for the U.S. National Team or played in an American soccer league for five years.

Finally, one-time Galaxy head coach Steve Sampson has been nominated for the National Soccer Hall of Fame Builder Award, which is given to individuals who have had a positive impact on American soccer at the national, federation or first-division level lasting at least 10 years. Sampson won the 2005 MLS Cup with the Galaxy and was also a former head coach of the U.S. National Team.
