Gyasi Zardes spoke to the Men In Blazers podcast about life with the LA Galaxy and his path to professional soccer.
Men in Blazers co-host Roger Bennett discussed a variety of topics with Gyasi Zardes including growing up in Hawthorne, which Galaxy player's photo he had on his wall (spoiler alert: it was David Beckham), choosing soccer over college football in college, and several other subjects.
One of the most illuminating quotes came from when Bennett asked Zardes about his current career goals.
"I want to be more consistent. I'm trying to be like Landon Donovan," Zardes said. "Every game you're scoring a goal or creating an assist. Just helping your team win. I don't set standards or marks like 'I want to score 15 goals this year or that. My motto is to take it day by day."
