CARSON, Calif. – Steven Gerrard is likely to be available for this weekend’s match against the Houston Dynamo, Bruce Arena told reporters on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old English midfielder has missed the last two games since suffering a left calf injury in the early stages of the Galaxy’s win over the San Jose Earthquakes on March 19. Gerrard returned to training last week and has been in full training for several days.
On Tuesday, Galaxy boss Bruce Arena confirmed that the midfielder could return this weekend against Houston.
"We expect Stevie to be available,” Arena said. "We'll get him through training over the next couple days. We haven't thought about our travel squad yet. We'll do that after training tomorrow."
