LA Galaxy II prepare for road match against Seattle Sounders FC 2 | Weekly Schedule

CARSON, Calif. (Monday, May 16, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (4-2-4, 16 points) have a week of training to prepare for a second consecutive away match against Seattle Sounders FC 2 (1-5-3, 6 points). The two will kick off at 5:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, May 22 at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila, Wash.
Seattle, currently last place in the USL Western Conference table, are 1-4-2 at home so far this season. The match will be a good chance for Los Dos to get back on track after suffering consecutive losses in their last two matches.

Over the weekend, Los Dos lost their first road match of the season 4-3 to Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. A hot start from Vancouver saw Los Dos trail 3-0 after just 21 minutes. They trailed 4-1 through the 81^st minute before scoring two goals in the last ten minutes to bring the match to 4-3. Jose Villarreal’s penalty in the 90^th made the final minutes a bit  unnerving for Vancouver, but ultimately they closed out the match, earned the three points, and leapfrogged LA into the Western Conference’s top spot.

It was the first match of the season that Los Dos played without Jack McBean. Jose Villarreal stepped up with a brace of his own and Denzel Slager netted his first goal of his Los Dos career. LA now sit second in the Western Conference, but they’ve played more games than any other team in the league. The five teams sitting below Los Dos each have at least two games in hand.
