Copa America Centenario audiences have been waiting for Lionel Messi's debut in the tournament, and the Argentine magician did not disappoint on Friday.
Messi made his first appearance in the 2016 edition of the competition, scoring three goals as a second half substitute in Argentina's 5-0 win over Panama. The FC Barcelona star needed just 25 minutes to complete his hat-trick after entering the game in the 61st minute of play.
Messi's best goal came in the 78th minute when he curled a free kick from beyond 20-yards past Panama goalkeeper Jaime Penedo for Argentina's third of the evening.
