Match Preview: Republic of Ireland hope to advance in Euro 2016 with win over Italy | INSIDER

The Republic of Ireland must defeat Italy on Wednesday if they’re going to advance to the Euro 2016 knockout rounds.

Robbie Keane and the Irish sit at the bottom of Group E with just a single point after earning a 1-1 draw vs. Sweden and falling 3-0 to Belgium on Saturday. Italy are expected to rotate their roster on Wednesday with their qualification for the Round of 16 already assured by victories over Belgium and Sweden.

The odds will be against the Irish on Wednesday, but after earning a famous win over Germany earlier this year, the Irish are confident that they can get a win.

"We know that when it all clicks for and we stick together for the 90 minutes and we don't lose concentration that we are capable of beating big teams,” full back Seamus Coleman said. “I do genuinely believe that there's a big result left in us in this group."
