The LA Galaxy and Colorado Rapids were unable to find a breakthrough over ninety minutes with both defenses playing stalwart and true on the way to a 0-0 draw.
LA had the best chance of the night when Sebastian Lletget found Emmanuel Boateng inside the penalty area with a cross in the 79'. Lletget got around his marker on the wing, and then he found Boateng who was trailing the play. Boateng's one touch shot was cleared off the line by defender Dennis Castillo.
Colorado had two chances on target inside the penalty area in the first half, but couldn't find the back of the net.
