CARSON, Calif. (Monday, June 27, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (6-2-8, 26 points) have a week of training to prepare for a rematch with Southern California rival Orange County Blues FC that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium.

Last Friday, LA Galaxy II earned a 2-0 win over Tulsa Roughnecks FC in the team’s first home win since May 4. A goal from Adonis Amaya and a successfully taken penalty kick from Alejandro Covarrubias gave Los Dos all three points. LA Galaxy II are now 5-1-4 at StubHub Center on the season.
This Saturday, Los Dos will face off with the OC Blues in the two sides’ second meeting of the 2016 season. Back on April 8, the two teams tied 1-1 at StubHub Center.
With the win, Los Dos move into second place in the USL Western Conference standings, three points behind Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 (8-2-5, 29 points).
In other LA Galaxy II news, forward Jack McBean was signed to LA Galaxy from Los Dos on June 22. McBean, LA Galaxy II’s captain, led the USL in goals (12) before being awarded with a first team contract. That same day, McBean started in the team’s 0-0 home draw with Colorado Rapids. McBean also went nine minutes in the team’s 1-1 away draw with San Jose Earthquakes over the weekend.
