CARSON, Calif. – Ashley Cole is expected to return to the LA Galaxy lineup this week for one of their two matches against their Pacific Northwest rivals.
Cole missed out on the Galaxy’s last two matches due to a hamstring injury but appeared sharp in training on Monday according to head coach Bruce Arena. The 35-year-old has made 13 league appearances for the Galaxy this season.
“He was out today, and he looked good,” Arena said. “I think there’s a good chance he will be ready to play.”
The Galaxy host Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals, and will travel to Portland to take on the MLS Cup champion Timbers three days later.
