CARSON, Calif. (Monday, July 18, 2016) – The LA Galaxy will host Seattle Sounders FC in a 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Quarterfinal match this Wednesday, July 20, at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium at 7:30 p.m. PT. LA will then return to MLS play with a road match against Portland Timbers FC at Providence Park on Saturday, July 23, at 12:30 p.m. PT live on ESPN.

LA Galaxy II will play the second of a three-game road stretch when they travel to face San Antonio FC at 5:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 23 at Toyota Field.
The Galaxy have recorded a 30-15-0 all-time record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. LA have entered the Open Cup every year since 1999, winning the tournament in 2001 and 2005 while reaching the Open Cup Final on two other occasions.
All time in MLS play, the Galaxy are 6-4-5 against Timbers FC, including 1-3-2 on the road. The Galaxy most recently defeated Portland in the 2016 Open Cup Round of 16 at Providence Park, with Raul Mendiola providing the goal in a 1-0 win. Saturday’s matchup with mark the second of two contests against Portland this year, as LA earned a 1-1 tie at StubHub Center on April 10.
The LA Galaxy earned a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo Friday night at StubHub Center behind a goal from Steven Gerrard. The Galaxy’s +14 goal differential this year is also the best in MLS. LA have lost just twice in their previous 17 MLS matches. LA Galaxy have allowed two goals in their last seven games, the fewest in MLS. They have recorded five shutouts in that time.
