Robbie Rogers made a major stride in his recovery from ankle surgery on Saturday by suiting up for LA Galaxy II in their match with the Orange County Blues.
Rogers made his first start since recovering from ankle surgery earlier this summer in Galaxy II’s 2-0 defeat to the Blues. The 29-year-old went 90 minutes in the defeat, looking relatively sharp despite the loss.
The Galaxy left back has missed nearly two months, but could very well return to playing contention for the first team next week when Los Angeles take on the Chicago Fire on Wednesday or Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday.
