CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Aug. 29, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (9-6-9, 36 points) are on the road twice in one week to wrap up a five-game road stretch. First, they’ll face Arizona United SC at 7:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Ariz. Then on Saturday, Sept. 3, they’ll take on Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at 6:00 p.m. PT at Switchbacks Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Over the weekend, LA Galaxy II fell 2-1 to Swope Park Rangers (9-9-6, 33 points) on Saturday, Aug. 27 at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo. The loss extended Los Dos’ winless streak to five. In the first three road games of this five-game road stretch, LA has gone 0-2-1.
The team is now 3-3-5 on the road in 2016. Bradford Jamieson IV scored the lone goal for Los Dos in the loss. Jamieson IV is the 15th goalscorer for the side this season. 15 individual goalscorers are the most of any team in the USL Western Conference.
With the loss, LA Galaxy II remain sixth in the USL Western Conference standings. With six games left in the season, LA do have a few games-in hand on teams ahead in the standings.
Three of the team’s remaining games will be at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. When the team returns on Sept. 10, LA Galaxy II will host their first annual “Pups at the Park” night against Sacramento Republic FC. For Pups at the Park, fans will be able to bring their dogs into StubHub Center’s Track and Field stadium for $5, with all proceeds of those tickets going toward local animal organizations.
